comment on CA politics

OK, just to clarify, I do have a degree in History from UCLA, with a focus on Political Economy. While I can't remember much, Kant, Hume, Heidegger, etc, it's in there somewhere. I need to pass on what I read in Dan Walter's (sacbee.com):

the 2008 California Legislature

passed 772 bills

 the taxpayer paid $350 million dollars in salary and costs

equals over 1/2 million $ each legislator

resulting in a

$40 Billion deficit (over the next 18 months)

We need to return to a part-time legislature, of citizens who want to give to their community, honorably, and who don't get paid if they don't DO THEIR JOB: pass the budget.
